Course Description:

Dunmurry is in its present location since its inception in 1905 but it was not until 1977 when, the present 18-holes was designed by Tom Mcauley and has developed into one of the most pleasant rolling Parkland courses in this part of the country. A Lake comes into play on the 10th a challenging 354 yards Par 4. Playing as a Par 70 with a standard scratch of 69 off the white stakes the course record is 68, which is a fair indication of how fair the course is as the club has produced some of the finest golfers in recent times.

Its most famous son was Max McCready who won the British Amateur Championship in 1949 at Portmarnock and played Walker Cup the same year and again at Royal Birkdale in 1951. Max has been followed by the likes of Darren Crowe who has represented Ireland on several occasions and Jill McAuley who, has represented Ulster in the ladies Interprovincial's. Dunmurry extends a warm Ulster welcome to visitors and it should be noted that a jacket & tie is required in the clubhouse in the evenings.
