Course Description:

Originally opened as a 9-hole course in 1992 Balcarrick extended to 18-hole Parkland under the watchful eye of Barry Langan. The course has matured rapidly and water comes into play on several holes, making club selection imperative around this fine course. Balcarrick Golf Club opened its magnificent new clubhouse in 1997 where the visitors every requirement is catered for. The golfer will go a long way to meet more friendly members than he or she will meet at Balcarrick.

Club History

Balcarrick Golf Club grew out of a group known as the Homeless Golfers, founded by Larry Courtney, Pat Ruddy, Peter Dunne and one other, they formed the Dublin & County Golf Club in 1972. The object of this club was to make golf accessible to the average person. They were playing their golf out of the Municipal course of Corballis just across the road from their present home. Prior to 1992 the members inspected many sites in the area and came down the present location where they continue to upgrade and improve this relatively new club.

Location

Come off the Dublin-Belfast Road after the Swords roundabout, take the road to Donabate and you will see a sign post for Balcarrick. Take a right up the causeway and Balcarrick is about two miles up the road on your left hand side.
