Course Description:

The Course totally surrounds the beautiful lake, which makes playing this Course an even more enjoyable experience The 1st Par 4 365 yd's 100 yards over water rising to green nestling on shoreline. The 2nd is a par 4 450 yard Danger on right all the way playing to elevated green with bunkers at 300 yd's. The 3rd Par 4 305 yards, the green is near water. It requires accurate second shot. The 4th Par 4 290 yard dog-leg over water onto elevated green. This hole requires a precision drive. 5th Par 5 Accurate drive is the key to this hole, two Ringforts guide you to an elevated green without room for error. The 6th Par 3 170 yard is uphill through trees to green in sunny shady glade. 7th Par 4 340 yd's for the brave, a long way over 120 yards of water, shortcut has 200 yards of water! Lakeshore green needs accurate approach. Index 1 if ever one was born. The 8th Par 5 495 yd's a long Fairway with a lake, the high Green will require skill for a 2 it features large green falling away to trouble. The 9th Par 4 440 yards a good drive is required to get over hill for the third,a beautiful approach to a spectacular finish. Then do it again!

Location

Make your way from major ports or airports to Galway city. Take the N59 west from Galway towards Clifden, through Moycullen, Oughterard and Maam Cross. At Recess, turn right (Hotel signposted). At Kylemore, turn left (Hotel signposted). At Letterfrack, turn right (Hotel signposted). After 4 miles the Hotel gate is signposted.
