Course Description:

Rossmore was formed in 1916 by Lord Rossmore who generously offered the course free of rent in his domain, together with the Gate Lodge as the pavilion. This family link remains to this day, where Lord Rossmore, the 7th Baron, acts as club patron.  However, Rossmore extended to 18 holes in 1992 and it is now a challenging 18-hole course.  Jack Charlton, the Republic of Ireland Manager at the time, was among the first to tackle the new Rossmore. The event was lavishly reported in the "Northern Standard" under the banner headline "Big Jack gives Rossmore's new course a lash".  Ladies have full membership here and Veri and Michelle McCreevy have both scaled the heights of lady amateur golf in Ireland by representing Ireland at full international level.
