Course Description:

Baltinglass has undergone an extension to a full 18-holes under the watchful eye of course architect Eddie Connaughton. It was ready for play in late Summer 2002. Set in the heart of Wicklow, "The Garden of Ireland" it is a magnificent layout with the backdrop and stunning views of the Wicklow Mountains.

Members Achievements

Lady Captain Bernie Kilcoyne (19), Captain Fintan Doyle (10) and President Denis Bradshaw (21) qualified for the National Finals of the Mercedes-Benz-Irish Independent Executive Trophy at The K Club on August 12th, when they shot 74 points at Mount Juliet in July 2002.

Lady Captain Bernie Kilcoyne (19) and her Lady Captains Prize Winner Olivia Byrne (14) qualified for the National Finals of the Volkswagen-Irish Independent Lady Captains' Golf Classic in October 2002, when they returned 41 points at The Royal Dublin Golf Club in September.

Baltinglass Golf Club won the Leinster Final of the Pierce Purcell Shield in 1985, when the team was, T. Delaney, J. G. Kilcoyne, D. Lord, M. Byrne, J. J. Slator, T. Whelan, W. Lee, M. Doogue, J. Feary, O. Redican and J. O'Higgins, they were managed by J. Whelan. They won it again the following year.

Baltinglass Golf Club won the Barton Cup in 1974, when the team was, D. Quinn, D. Lee, M. Byrne, D. R. Patterson, Rev. Fr. P. J. McDonnell, T. Nolan. N. Scott. L. O'Connell, D. Kilcoyne, L. Norton, E. Mooney and D. J. Bradshaw. They won it again in 1993.

Hilda Gorry played for the Irish Girls in 1968, 1969 and 1970. 

Miss Mary Gorry won the Scratch Match Play Foursomes together with Miss Mary McKenna of Donabate in 1977 and won the Stroke Play Foursomes together with Miss Maureen Madill of Portstewart in 1980.
