Course Description: |
This parkland course is overlooked by Cavanmore Hill, which means "large round hill". The course is near to Limavady and is playable all year round, excepting the most exacting conditions, this is due in part to the sandy soil that the course is set out on. Frank Ainsworth the famous course designer, has used the landscape to it's full potential. Water is involved on four holes, the River Roe coming into play on the second, third and fourth holes. The fifteenth is played over a small lake. The surrounding Roe Valley Country Park is home to many other attractions including a restored hydro-electric plant which first opened in 1896. There are several water mills dotted around the outskirts of the Course. The course includes a fine hotel in the Radisson Roe Park, with the usual amenities expected of a fine hotel. |
