Course Description

Donal McEvoy would appear to be fulfilling his dream as he continues to improve both course and facilities at Boystown Golf Club. When I first met Donal he was all-alone up the Wicklow Mountains with a few bricks laid for the new clubhouse. On my last visit to Boystown I missed Donal, as he was standing on the first tee with my old friend Paddy Byrne and ANO, the hailstones were bucketing down, yet these three where off down the first. I did have the pleasure of meeting Donal's good first lady and daughter in the fine clubhouse that he has completed. Located in this, one of the most beautiful parts of Ireland surrounded by the Wicklow Mountains and Blessington Lakes, there is not a better environment to build a golf course. The visitor is assured of a very warm welcome and a memorable days golf at Boystown in the hearth of the "Garden of Ireland". |

Congratulations to Julie Walsh (28) who teamed up with Seamus Doherty (9) Stackstown in the Irish Final of the Spar-Irish Independent Mixed Pairs Challenge on the 25th of August 2001. The finals were played at Adare Manor Golf & Country Club and they were beaten into 3rd place on a count back with a score of 54 points. However, it was good enough to book their tickets for the big shoot out in Tenerife in November. Where they finished second with a score of 151.
