Course Description: |
Joe and Ann McDonald opened Vartry Lakes Golf Club in 1997 built on the shores of the lake from which its name is derived. It is a little gem located just outside Roundwood Village the highest village in Ireland with stunning views of the magnificent countryside. It is a 9-hole Parkland measuring 5,208 metres with a Par 70 and a standard scratch to match for the men. The ladies course is somewhat shorter at 4,478 metres Par 70 and a standard scratch of 68. They have built a fine clubhouse where the visitor is assured of the warmest of welcomes. |

Members Achievements |
Vartry Lakes Golf Club qualified for the National Finals of the Mitsubishi Electric-Irish Independent National Golf Challenge, in aid of the Special Olympics, played at Luttrellstown Golf Club on September 18th 2002, where they finished 3rd with 97 points. The team was Dermot Browne (8), Simon O'Sullivan (13), Kevin Brady (15) and Michael Costello (20).Vartry Lakes won the Barton Cup in September 2001. They were, managed by Graham Smith.
