John Purcell the Captain of Rathbane Golf Club in 2007 holds the Course Record at Shannon Golf Club, as a member back in 1983 John shot a 63 playing off a handicap of 7 he shot the lights out, recording 3 Eagles out of 4-holes, the 5th, 6th and 8th (Is this a World record?) While doing my research I have come across some remarkable Golf Achievements but this one is definitely in the top deck, as John tells me before he shot his record that stands to this day, he had back-to-back Eagles on the previous Wednesday, is it any wonder he got the name "The Eagle Man." |
